Awarded government tenders

Public-sector tenders where the issuing institution has officially published the award, showing the awarded bidder, date and value where disclosed.

These tenders have been awarded and the award has been published by the issuing institution. Where an institution has not published the award, no record appears here - we do not infer or estimate an award from a closed tender.

Why award information is published at all

Award disclosure is a transparency requirement in South African procurement, and it is genuinely useful: a bidder who lost can see what the winning bid looked like, and a business can identify which institutions buy what.

We publish an award only where the institution itself has published it, with a link to the official notice. We do not estimate an award value, and where a value is undisclosed we say so rather than computing one from a budget figure.

What to do with this information

Award data is most useful for pricing. If an institution routinely awards a category of work in a particular value band, a bid far outside that band needs a clear, documented justification.

It is also useful for deciding whether to bid at all. If an institution repeatedly awards the same work to the same bidder on short cycles, that pattern is worth knowing before you spend money on documents and travel.
