Matric results: where to check and what to do next
Matric results are announced by the responsible education authorities. Use the official announcement and your examination body's instructions for the correct release date and access method.
Important: This page does not publish individual marks, request examination numbers or provide access to learner records. Dates and access arrangements can change, so verify them through official sources.
Official places to start
Learners should also follow the instructions issued by their provincial education department or examination authority. Do not rely on forwarded social-media messages as proof of a release date.
Before results are released
- Confirm the announced date and release time with the Department of Basic Education or your examination authority.
- Keep your examination details in a safe place for use only on the official result channel.
- Check whether your school or province has issued additional collection or access instructions.
- Beware of anyone charging a fee to reveal results or asking you to send an OTP, password or a photo of your ID.
If your result appears incorrect or is missing
Contact your school or the relevant provincial education department using contact details from its official website. Ask about the formal query, re-marking or re-check process, the applicable fee if any, and the deadline. Keep any reference or acknowledgement issued by the authority.
