South African tax deadlines: individual, provisional, VAT and PAYE
South African tax deadlines depend on the taxpayer type and obligation. An individual ITR12 deadline is not the same as a provisional-tax payment date, VAT return deadline or employer EMP201/EMP501 obligation. The dates also depend on the tax year and SARS announcements.
Which should you choose?
Identify the tax product first, then confirm the exact date in the relevant SARS account or official deadline guidance. Do not assume that one filing-season date applies to every return or payment.
